Dienstag., 30.01., William Dunkin – Einführung PowerShell
Automation is the holy grail of any IT process. Microsoft created PowerShell to make the management of all components of a Windows network automatible. Their vision is to make every single process a PowerShell-able process.
However, what is PowerShell? Especially for Data Platform Professionals, this question is not very clear. We have SQL Agent and SQLCMD and T-SQL to achieve our automation goals. Also, once we are confronted with PowerShell for the first time, it looks like a blue command prompt.
This session will take you through the basics of what PowerShell is and how its different features work. We will then take a journey through a set of powerful commands that can help bridge the gap between basic PowerShell and more advanced automation of a Data Platform environment.
