Power BI Governance with Purview
As soon as your Power BI user base or usage pattern getting bigger, or you extend from pure Self-Service to Corporate BI, you definitely need a proper governance on your PBI tenant. Out of the box Power BI offers already functionality. In this session we will extend these governance functions with the help of Microsoft Purview. With Purview we add not only Data Catalog, -Map and extended lineage functionality we will improve data loss prevention, data life cycle management end to end and add information protection. The session will include live demos, watch out and implementation best practices.

Oliver Engels
Oliver Engels ist Vorstandsvorsitzender der oh22data AG einem Microsoft Gold Partner mit Sitz in Bad Camberg im Taunus. Als Betriebswirt beschäftigt er sich seit 1991 schwerpunktmässig mit Marketing- und Vetriebssystemen. Der SQL Server bietet ihm dazu seit der Version 4 eine immer umfangreiche Basis, die ihm bei analytischem CRM, Enterprise Reporting und Performance Management gute Dienste leistet.
Mit der PASS Deutschland ist Oliver als Gründungsmitglied seit den ersten Tagen verbunden. Er leitet die PASS Regionalgruppe Rhein/Main, ist im Kommitee der Europäischen PASS Conference und betätigt sich als Sprecher für sein Lieblingsthema Business Intelligence bei PASS Camps, Essentials und in der Region.
Wenn er sich mal nicht mit Daten auseinandersetzt, dann ist er mit Hund und Mensch beschäftigt, sei es mit seinen Golden Retrievern im Wald oder als aktives Mitglied von Vita Assistenzhunde e.V.. Dieser Verein zeigt ihm immer wieder, das es noch viel wichtigere Dinge als Datenbanken gibt. Seit 2012 ist er Vorsitzender.
Gabi Münster
Gabi Münster (she / her) started working with SQL Server technologies in 2005. After some short excursions into Web Application development and a long and inspiring time as a BI consultant / Data architect at oh22data AG, she joined Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager at the Power BI CAT team in March 2022.
She speaks at regional chapter meetings, national and international conferences. Since 2016 she also co-leads the SQL PASS User group.Ruhrgebiet.
Apart from BI topics she also supports Diversity topics.
